At Cleveland Academy, we provide high-quality care focused on enhancing children's social, emotional and physical development in a loving, relaxed and nurturing environment.
Education
An owner with a Doctorate Degree in Leadership, a Specialist Degree in Curriculum & Instruction, and 17 years of teaching experience. Staff members include 3 certified teachers with Bachelor's Degrees in Early Childhood Education, a teacher working towards her Master's Degree in Psychology, and 7 teachers with a TCC, CDA, or an Associate's Degree.
Curriculum
Our curriculum builds upon various skills as our students progress through all the classrooms, from infants through Pre-K. We use the Babies Can Read in our infant and younger toddler classrooms. We use the A Beka curriculum and supplemental materials in our older toddler, preschool and pre-k classrooms.
Sanitation
We use a hospital-grade air-scrubber which cleans all viruses and airborne bacteria. We implement a ZONO sanitizer which sanitizes many items such as crayons, books, dress-up costumes, high chairs, furniture and toys.
Safety
Our hallway consists of steel bars reinforcing the concrete which provides a safe place during storms. All doors remain locked, and each family has their own private code to enter. We use intercoms in every classroom which provides immediate access to the office staff. Our playground has a high-quality pour-in-place EcoSoft Surfacing which meets and exceeds all standard specifications of safety material under and around playground equipment. Our playground surface is also resistant to heat, foot traffic, and airborne pollutants.
